Awaiting Funds is an independent tool built to help families track their own receipts and reimbursement submissions. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Step Up For Students, any other scholarship funding organization, or the State of Florida. References to FES-UA, Step Up For Students, or related program names are for descriptive purposes only.

What the Service does — and doesn't — do

The Service uses AI to read receipt photos and help you track reimbursement status. It also displays category spending limits and rules based on publicly published program guides, which we update manually and which may not reflect the most current official rules.

The Service does not guarantee:

• That AI-extracted data is accurate or complete
• That a receipt flagged as “complete” will be accepted by your scholarship funding organization
• That category limits, frequency rules, or deadlines shown in the app are current or complete
• That using this Service will result in a successful reimbursement

You're responsible for verifying your receipts and reimbursement requests directly with your scholarship funding organization before relying on anything shown in this app.

Accounts and plans

• You need an account to use the Service.
• The free plan includes 5 receipt scans, for the life of your account.
• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Square. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time; cancelling stops future billing but doesn't refund the current billing period.
• We may change pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal or fraudulent
• Upload content you don't have the right to upload
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to misrepresent purchases or reimbursement requests

Your content

You retain ownership of the receipts, images, and notes you upload. By uploading them, you give us permission to process them as described in our Privacy Policy, solely to provide the Service to you.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-extracted information will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Awaiting Funds and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including denied reimbursements, missed deadlines, or financial loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
