Privacy Policy

Awaiting Funds (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a tool to help parents and guardians track receipts and reimbursement requests for Florida education scholarship programs, including FES-UA. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Step Up For Students, the State of Florida, or any scholarship funding organization. We are an independent tool built to help families manage their own paperwork.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address (required to create an account) and, optionally, your phone number if you opt in to SMS reminders.
- Receipt content — photos of receipts and proof-of-payment documents you upload, and the information our AI extracts from them (store name, items, amounts, dates).
- Notes — any optional notes you add to a receipt.
- Usage information — your plan, how many scans you've used, and basic account activity needed to operate the service.
We do not collect payment card details ourselves — subscription payments are handled entirely by Square (see below).
How we use this information
- To extract and organize information from your receipts
- To track your reimbursement status and category spending
- To draft follow-up emails when you ask us to
- To send optional SMS reminders, only if you've opted in
- To process subscription payments and manage your plan
- To operate, maintain, and improve the service
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to operate Awaiting Funds. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:
- Supabase — hosts our database, handles authentication, and stores your uploaded images
- Anthropic — receives receipt and proof-of-payment images, and any notes you write, to extract data and draft emails using their Claude AI models
- Square — processes subscription payments; we never see or store your full card details
- Twilio — would deliver SMS reminders if and when that feature is active for your account
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.
Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete individual receipts at any time from your dashboard. To request deletion of your entire account and associated data, contact us at [email protected].
Children's privacy
Awaiting Funds is intended for use by adults managing scholarship paperwork on behalf of their children. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
